The first time one of these birds visited, he sat still for several minutes and let me take all the pictures I wanted -- what a ham! Since then, I've seen house finches more and more, even 2 or 3 feeding at one time. The males have red markings and the brighter the red, the more mature the bird. The females are brown. | |||
