The mourning doves (a.k.a. pigeons) are the calmest and most relaxed birds I see. There are two of them and they usually feed together. They are quite large, so when they are both in the feeder, nobody else can reach the food. The doves will often sit for hours in the feeder after eating. They are not afraid of me at all. | |||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I think there is something wrong with one of the doves. He is losing lots of feathers on his head and neck and has been acting slightly aggressive towards the other birds: ![]() ![]() ![]() I couldn't resist letting our outside cat come in for a view. The cat was very interested, and the dove didn't seem to mind at all. ![]() |
