       Sometimes I get lots of different kinds of birds at the feeder at once. It's neat to see how they interact. Sometimes they all stay and eat, but sometimes they challenge each other until only one is left in the feeder.

       A sparrow and tufted titmouse are feeding while a black-capped chicadee swoops in and tries to join them.

Three juvenile cardinals share the sill with a mourning dove.


This young female cardinal hasn't quite learned yet to let the big birds go first.
