Sometimes I am so in love with a product, site, or service that I want to tell the world about it. Read about my favorite stuff here!

 magellan roadmate

We recently got a Magellan Roadmate 700 and it's so awesome! It literally works right out of the box and comes pre-loaded with maps of the entire U.S. You just punch in the address you want to go to and it gives you audio and video turn-by-turn instructions to get you there. It's also available in other models -- the 760 has the ability to pronouncing street names, and the 800 can play your music.

 puerto rico

One of my new favorite board games is Puerto Rico, a fun game of trading, shipping, and colonization. It is a pure strategy game, so it will truly exercise your brain, and you must make the right choices in order to win. It's a complex game, which makes it hard to learn -- but also so MUCH more fun to play! This game is produced by Rio Grande Games, the makes of another favorite -- Carcassonne

 berkshire throws

This is the Serasoft(TM) throw by Berkshire that I got from Bed Bath and Beyond. It is without a doubt the most amazingly soft and cuddly blanket I've ever had and I love it so much! It's quite large and feels like soft teddy bear fur. I highly recommend it!

 dyson

I got a Dyson vacuum cleaner in November of 2005 and I LOVE it. I was amazed at how well it worked, especially on dog hair! One trip around the living room filled the canister with dog hair - so gross, but so neat! It's super easy to use, also, and the wand and attachments are the easiest I've ever seen.

The model I purchased is the DC07, and I bought it factory-reconditioned. It arrived in spotless condition, and I found only one minor scratch on it. It works great and was definitely worth the cost savings of getting it reconditioned instead of new!

 nature valley
sweet & salty
granola bars

Nature Valley's Sweet & Salty Nut granola bars (peanut flavor) are so incredibly yummy that I have eaten one for breakfast almost every single day since I discovered them a month ago. They are chewy and as the name suggests - both salty and sweet. They taste similar to a PayDay candy bar, but are (slightly!) better for you. They also come in Almond flavor, but I am hooked on the Peanut variety for now!

 sriracha sauce

One of our favorite condiments is Huy Fong's Sriracha sauce. Dennis pours this stuff onto just about any asian food, especially noodles. It's a great addition to anything that needs a little kick. It's a key ingredient in the recipe below, which is also one of my picks!

Scromp's Famous Peanut Butter Stir-fry Sauce
  • 6 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
Stir all ingredients together. Pour over stir-fry during the last few minutes of cooking.

 bandana dishtowels

I just got a set of these awesome bandana dishtowels from KMart. They are designed by Martha Stewart and not only do they work well, but they are so fun that I giggle every time I use one. So cute!
